Graphic design for fashion industry is very experimental and luxurious. I understand that many of us think that who is going to look at the label or the swing tag before buying a piece of cloth or an accessory. But still a fashion designer needs a graphic designer to improve his/her visual communication which could be anything from introducing their new collection or to create their brand-name or brand identities.
A graphic designer and a fashion designer are both creative in their own way. They both understand the need to attract a particular target audience before launching a product/service. Instead of talking on who is better than another they can merge their ideas to come up with new trends. We all agree that these days its all about marketing your product/services or to create a brand label. Did we ever think on why we buy a Louis Vuitton bag for $1500-2000 or a pair of Tony Burch shoes for $200-400. I understand that these brands are very expensive but yes, they do give you an amazing service and experience. Fashionista’s who look up to fashion labels before they even buy a pair of lingerie or sunglasses. Even the basic necessities of life are all about their label. Graphic designers help fashion designers to market their product and services effectively which would help them target a large group of potential buyers. Graphic designers help to give people a good experience of design, art, typography, images blended with good technology. These elements would allow expression and attraction–which aids in giving a good brand exposure.
Good designs always have great impact on viewers who are the potential buyers in future. So I would conclude by saying that, good visual communication would help you connect better with your audience and in return would help you build your brand label.

As people, we are very visual creatures (no surprise that Pinterest is on the rise). Although I love fashion, I don’t often think about the design of the label but after reading your article I think that you raise a good point about fashion and graphic design.
@kamilla Berdin Yes, we are visual creatures and we only like to see what pleases our eye. We don’t really try to look at the procedure or the effort put behind creating a brand label. To be honest I love Instagram, Pinterest as I actually get to see things and see things with a new perspective. Thanks for reading my blog and hope you enjoy my blogs in future. I really appreciate your feedback.
Well I do personally look at label and buy my clothes to be honest about it. So for me it’s all about how presentable it is and I’m pretty sure graphic designer do help when it comes to how presentable a label should be and their products.
